2nd EABCT SIG meeting on OCD
The second meeting of the EABCT special interest group (SIG) on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder has taken place in Assisi, Italy (May, 10th-13th). Participants came from Italy, Norway, Sweden, Israel, Germany, Netherlands and the United States (USA).
Scientific debates on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder have taken place in an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere, inspired by the interesting papers presented in the course of the meeting.
It is of common knowledge that Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder is one of the most disabling psychiatric disorders; that’s why researchers and clinicians need to join their efforts in order to deepen their understanding of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and to find more effective ways of helping OC patients.
International meetings among experts, as this one, are organised in order to allow a panel of experts an informal an interactive chance of exchanging ideas and promote international collaborations. Moreover we wanted to work out more effective strategies to raise public awareness about evidence-based therapies.
And this is exactly what happened during the Second EABCT meeting on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
